An AI receptionist for house cleaning companies that quotes the clean and books the repeating schedule
A house cleaning customer is worth the first clean plus every clean after it. That means two things matter on the phone: a believable price, and getting them onto a regular day. Here's how the AI does both, and where it stops.
Where house cleaning companies actually lose the job
House cleaning is a relationship business that starts with a price-shopping phone call. The customer calls three companies, asks what a clean costs for a three-bedroom house, and books whoever gives a straight answer and a day that works. If you're mid-clean with your hands in a shower, that call goes to voicemail and the customer calls the next company.
Then there's the schedule. The money in cleaning is the every-other-week customer, and keeping them means their Tuesday stays their Tuesday. Holding that slot while booking new customers around it is where a paper calendar or a busy owner falls down. A double-booked Tuesday loses a customer who would have paid you every two weeks for years.
What the AI does on a house cleaning company call
The AI answers as your company, in about two rings, on every call at once. It asks what sets your price: how many bedrooms and bathrooms, whether there are pets, how the home is right now (kept up, or needs extra attention), whether they want a standard, deep or move-out clean, and how often they want service. It notes add-ons like inside the oven or fridge, laundry, or interior windows, and prices them from your sheet.
Then it gives a ballpark from your price sheet, with your recurring discount applied when they want regular service, and says the cleaning team confirms the exact price at the first visit. With the default mid-region sheet, a three-bedroom, two-bath standard clean is about $170 to $250 one time, and a deep clean of the same home about $275 to $455. You adjust every line to your own rates. Offices and other commercial spaces, hoarding situations and post-construction cleans get a walkthrough booked instead of a phone price.
It books the first clean into a two-hour arrival window with a team that's free, and it never books more cleans at once than you have teams. If they want regular service, it sets the repeat right there: every week, every 2 weeks, every 4 weeks or monthly, on the same weekday and window. Callers who find you online can get the same range from the Quick Quote on your website.
What happens after the call
Every repeating visit is a real booking, booked about eight weeks ahead so the slot is held against your capacity. With auto-assign on, each one goes to the customer's usual cleaner when that person is free. It lands on their Google Calendar and in their AIFDH app, and the customer gets a confirmation text the day before (once you turn on appointment confirmation texts). A customer who needs to skip one clean calls or texts, and only that visit is cancelled. If a date is full or you're closed, the visit isn't forced in; you get a notice to pick another time. Customers who got a price but didn't book get follow-up texts at 24 hours, 3, 5 and 10 days, which stop when they reply. Missed calls get a text back.
What it doesn't do: plan routes between houses, or take payment. Invoicing and payment stay in whatever you use today.
A week on the phone, house cleaning company edition
This is an example of how the system handles a week, not a customer's results.
Monday, 10:30 am. Both teams are mid-clean. A caller wants her three-bedroom, two-bath house cleaned every other week, and she has a dog. The AI quotes about $150 to $220 a visit at the every-2-weeks rate and mentions that first cleans are often a deep clean. It books a deep clean for Thursday, 9 to 11, then sets every other Thursday after that. She gets one text with the schedule. The next four cleans are already on her team lead's calendar.
At 2:15 an office manager asks about cleaning a dental office; the AI books a walkthrough. Two weeks later, the Thursday customer texts that she'll be out of town. Only that clean is cancelled, and her schedule picks back up the following visit.
What AI Front Desk Helper does besides answer the phone
Answering the phone is the entry point, not the product. Here is the rest of what runs once a contractor is on AI Front Desk Helper:
- Booking that respects your calendar. Estimates land on your own Google Calendar after a free/busy check, so the AI never offers a slot you're already on a job for. Reschedules and cancellations move or remove the event.
- Estimate follow-up that doesn't quit. Text sequences at 24 hours, 3, 5 and 10 days on every quote that hasn't closed, written like a contractor, stopping the moment the customer replies.
- Objection detection. "Too expensive" or "need to think about it" triggers a recovery script instead of a polite goodbye.
- Instant online quotes. For painting, roofing, siding, fencing, gutters, junk removal, window cleaning and pressure washing: a branded quote-and-book page for your business (yours looks like quote.yourcompany.com) where customers get a ballpark price and pick a time, day or night.
- Outbound campaigns. AI calls and texts to your past-customer list for seasonal reactivation, win-backs and referral asks. You set the campaign; it dials.
- Google Business Profile, handled. Every new review gets an owner reply drafted for you; profile posts can be drafted, approved and scheduled weeks ahead; a profile health audit shows how you stack up against nearby competitors.
- Revenue coaching by lead source. Every phone number is tied to where it came from (Angi, LSA, Facebook, referral, yard sign), so the dashboard shows which marketing produces booked revenue and which to cut.
- Customer DISC profiles. Every caller and texter gets a buying-style read (D, I, S or C) from what they actually said, with a confidence flag, so you walk into the estimate knowing how to sell to them.
- Franchise HQ. One rollup across every location for multi-unit operators.
- Reseller program. Agencies and consultants can offer the whole system under their own brand.
- Optional add-on: AI Rep Coach. Records in-home estimates and coaches the people who sell, with manager review and team analytics. Sold separately, per seat.
Setup for a house cleaning company
In Settings, pick Cleaning as your trade. That switches on the cleaning price sheet for calls and texts and the cleaning Quick Quote on your website. Open See the prices the AI quotes and adjust each line to your rates. Apply the recommended scheduling (two-hour arrival windows), then add your teams in Crew Management and turn on auto-assign, or set jobs-per-window to your number of teams. Last, turn on Repeating appointments in Bookings. Forward your number or port it.
A straight answer about where this comes from: AI Front Desk Helper was built and tested inside my painting company. The cleaning profile and repeating appointments were added in September 2026. Everything on this page is what the system does today; we don't have results from cleaning companies to publish yet, and we won't make them up.

Which plan for a house cleaning company
Pro is where a cleaning company belongs. Calendar booking in arrival windows, repeating schedules, reminders and quote follow-up all live there. Elite adds outbound campaigns to win back customers who dropped off a schedule, replies to every Google review, and revenue by lead source. Basic answers and captures leads without booking, which leaves the repeating schedule to you.
Questions house cleaning companies ask
Can it quote a cleaning over the phone?
Yes, as a range from your price sheet: bedrooms and bathrooms set the base, and pets, condition and add-ons adjust it. The recurring discount applies for weekly, every-2-weeks and monthly service. It always says the cleaning team confirms the price at the first visit.
Can it set up every-other-week cleanings?
Yes. With repeating appointments on, the AI books the first clean and sets the repeat on the same call, on the same weekday and window. The next visits are booked about eight weeks ahead, so the slot is held.
What if a customer needs to skip a week?
They call or text, and only that visit is cancelled; the schedule continues. To stop service entirely they can ask the AI, which confirms first, or you can stop it from the dashboard.
Does the same cleaner come every time?
When auto-assign is on and their usual cleaner is free that day, yes. If that person is off, it goes to another free team member.
Do you quote commercial cleaning?
No. Offices and other commercial spaces get a walkthrough booked, and so do hoarding and post-construction cleans.
